Ruve Al Madinah Hotel Review: The High-Tech Umrah Hotel 200 Metres from Masjid Nabawi
If you are researching an honest Ruve Al Madinah Hotel review, you are looking at one of the most technologically distinctive Umrah hotels in all of Madinah. Located 200 metres from Al Masjid an-Nabawi on Abu Dujanah Al Ansari Street in the Badaah district, this property stands out from every other hotel near the Haram with one feature no other reviewed property in this city offers — a bedside touchpad in every room that controls all lighting, air conditioning, and automatic window blinds. Here is the complete honest picture.

The Tech Difference — Why Ruve Stands Apart
In ten hotels reviewed across Madinah, this is the only one where technology has been built deliberately around the pilgrim’s daily rhythm.
The rooms all have a touchpad by the bedside which controls everything — all lighting and air conditioning — and the rooms have auto switch blinds which are cool. The WiFi is lightning fast with fast speed routers on each of the hotel’s 13 floors.
For Umrah pilgrims waking for Fajr at 4am, adjusting the room during afternoon rest, or managing lighting without disturbing family — this single touchpad meaningfully improves the daily experience in a way that no amount of marble bathrooms or restaurant variety can replicate.

Location
Ruve Al Madinah Hotel is located only 200 metres from the Haram, offering stunningly decorated rooms with their own private balcony.
The hotel is right next to Gate 339 which is the main ladies entrance — very convenient for the women in any group. The men’s sections are also available within a short walk. Gates 25 to 28 — the women’s Rawdah entry — are also very close, with one guest describing it as a 200-foot walk to the women’s entrance.
Easy access to Bin Dawood, shopping centres, pharmacies, and food courts. Taiba Commercial Centre is 550 metres away. The airport is 15km — approximately 17 minutes drive. No parking is available on site.
The Lifts — A Genuine Operational Advantage
Eight synchronized lifts ensure quick and smooth access to all floors, even during peak times.
Guests specifically highlight this in reviews — noting it as significantly better than comparable hotels in the Haram zone. Guests praise the hotel for having many elevators — 8 — important in peak season for access to Masjid Nabawi. For any pilgrim who has experienced 10-minute lift waits in Madinah hotels during prayer times, this is a meaningful quality-of-life difference.

Rooms
Wooden furniture and warm orange tones feature in all rooms. Each room offers a flat-screen TV, a work desk, and a minibar. Some also have a separate living room with a dining area.
All rooms include: free WiFi, air conditioning controlled via touchpad, automatic blinds, soundproofed walls, daily housekeeping, 24-hour room service, laptop-safe, ironing facilities, walk-in shower and bath with bathrobes, and private entrance. Some rooms have private balconies — always worth requesting.
Interconnected rooms are available for families. Suites with executive lounge access are offered for premium bookings. Room upgrades are given regularly at check-in — always ask politely.
Honest notes: some in-room telephones reported as non-functional, TV channels inconsistent in certain rooms, and bathroom shower design in some rooms leads to water spillage. Check these on arrival.

Breakfast — The Standout Score
The breakfast buffet spread is outstanding with a wide variety of traditional Middle Eastern and Western breakfast items. The restaurant manager is onsite every morning.
Ruve Al Madinah’s breakfast is rated 8.9 out of 10 on Booking.com — the highest breakfast score across all hotels in this review series. Guests staying at Ruve Al Madinah Hotel can enjoy a highly-rated breakfast during their stay.
The hotel has restaurants that serve various Asian dishes. Guests can also dine on the terrace or in their room. Packed lunches are available for those wanting to visit sites during the day. Sahoor is served during Ramadan — pre-arrange room delivery at check-in.

Staff
The staff culture at Ruve Al Madinah is exceptional. Staff member Amer Fayyadh at the desk was polite, courteous and genuine — a proper gentleman who upgraded guests free of charge and was kind and helpful throughout their stay.
Room attendants, housekeeping staff, and restaurant team members are all named personally in guest reviews — a strong indicator of genuine care. Great friendly customer service and helpful staff — close to Gate 25 and the women’s Rawdah entry.

Honest Pros and Cons
Pros: Bedside touchpad controls lighting, AC and automatic blinds — unique in Madinah, 200 metres from Masjid Nabawi, Gate 339 right next to hotel, 8 synchronized lifts, lightning-fast WiFi on every floor, breakfast rated 8.9/10, soundproofed rooms, warm elegant room design, private balconies available, packed lunches, outstanding staff culture.
Cons: No parking, some in-room telephone and TV issues reported, bathroom shower design leads to water spillage in some rooms, Sahoor room delivery needs pre-arrangement during Ramadan, some housekeeping inconsistency.

Verdict
Ruve Al Madinah is one of the most pleasant Umrah hotels I have reviewed in Madinah. The smart room technology is genuinely ahead of anything else near the Haram. The lift situation alone solves a problem that frustrates guests at most comparable properties. The breakfast is the best-rated in this series. And the staff warmth — named personally review after review — creates the kind of experience that brings pilgrims back.
